Become A Better Person

Are you happy with who you are? We all need to be accountable for our own actions in order to move forward in life. Nobody is perfect, and we all make mistakes. If you want to grow as a person, take some time for introspection, and be willing to change what you don’t like about yourself. Change is the only way to grow and progress into the person you want to become. Many people are against change, which can make it very hard to grow. When you keep an open mind and are willing to change, you are able to grow into the person you want to become.
There is nothing worse than living a life of self-hate. If you want to be more connected to others, you need to work on being more in touch with yourself first. Learning to take accountability for your own mistakes is extremely important. When you stop making excuses, and take the blame when something is truly your fault, you will be able to achieve so much more. By accepting that you made a mistake, you will be able to use your mistakes to learn, which in turn, will help you to become a better person. Get comfortable with being who you are, and let go of your everyday worries. Just try not to focus on the big picture. Instead, notice the little details of life that makes you happy.
Prioritise things in your life. Stop doing some of the least important things, the things that really don’t matter that much to you. The process of self knowledge requires you to reconnect with your essence, and to identify your ideal self. Make a mental picture of who you would like to be, and write down all your ideal traits. This is the first step to start living a life that is true to your ideal self. Think about how you could be a better friend, a better sibling, a better child, a better parent and a better partner. Keep in mind that getting rid of what is unnecessary in your life is also life-changing. Eliminate stress by stopping sweating the small stuff, and reconnecting with nature. Remember that you don’t have to go to exotic lands or travel far to be in contact with nature. Bring some plants and fresh flowers into your home, walk barefoot in your garden. Enjoy the sights and sounds, watch the sunset, and you will be able to connect to your essence.
In order to become a better person is important to accept, and also love yourself. The process of self-acceptance starts with acknowledging the fact that we judge ourselves all the time, so try to be more self compassionate, and value every part and aspect of yourself. Accepting yourself and your circumstances is important to your happiness, and contributes to your process of self improvement. It is also important to stop being judgmental because people think and/or act differently from you. Every person is different, and has his or her own way of being. When you are about to judge someone, remember that judgmental people tend to be very stressed. Recognise that every person is capable of doing something on his or her own. Try not to tell people what to do, unless you are asked to do so. Listening to people and giving everyone a voice is one of the greatest things you can do.
Ask for guidance from the spiritual world and start noticing what makes you feel fulfilled. Stop doing things that waste your energy and do not fulfil your soul. Think about what you want to pursue and what you don’t wish to keep in your life. Practice mindfulness by meditating, by looking into your life, and thinking about what's going on right now. Remember that only when we love ourselves, we are able to be proud of our journey, and look back at past mistakes in a positive way. We are all able to make better choices in life, and find the right path, no matter how long we stayed in the wrong path before. All we need to do is to start making decisions that honour our true values.
Try to look at your life in a way you have never thought possible. Connect your soul to what moves you, and you will be able to live a life consistent with your highest values and aspirations. Stop ignoring your blessings, retune to your spiritual self. You can develop your personal path of happiness with positive thinking, healthy thoughts, self awareness and confidence.
