Dealing With News Of Illness

Without giving away any confidences, this past week I was informed a dear
client of mine and ZodiacLiveTarot was battling cancer. They were told they
only had several months to make their arrangements and care help was called
in. I must honestly admit I burst into tears when told of their plight. My
heart was touched. My sincerest emotions were for a person I have never met
but have given countless email readings to. A Tarot reading is that intimate
between the reader and the client, which over time becomes a friendship.
When you connect with a client you can see not only what is taking place in
their life but many times their heart and spirit - and our client's was
abundant in both. They would also come to recommend countless new people to
visit with readers of ZodiacLiveTarot. They felt the readers and the company
itself was a good fit for their personality and needs - and we felt the same
way about them and their friends.
I additionally felt so badly because the person telling me this news was a
new client to our service recommended by our ill friend. And as good
intentions between good people happens others have reached out to share
their story and concern. We all had a good cry!
Now it was time to get busy to rally all the talent of the ZodiacLiveTeam
for prayers and recovery. I was not disappointed! They rose to the occasion
by alerting everyone to send their good will and wishes to our
ZodiacLivetarot friend. Everyone I continued to connect with through Tarot
readings that knew our friend answered the call as well.
Then something fantastic happened. A client who I meet through our ill
friend who now has become a good friend as well told me our ill friend now
had a fighting chance! That their body is now strong enough to fight to get
well. The prognosis went from dire to a light to guide them to a possible
positive end.
Times are tough in many ways, but when illness strikes those we love and
care for - all bets are off. The little stuff no longer matters. It reminds
me to embrace this attitude daily so when I need to send my good intentions
somewhere they are the most powerful I can make them because they are based
on love and the power I know I hold within.
Celebrate the good and be grateful for those we love each day will make it
easier to do when we could be confronted with rough times. Being supportive
and reviewing our daily words and actions to understand whether they heal or
harm can help us delivery a strong shoulder, a humble word or grace.
Whatever the circumstances we can be ready.
So many of us are being asked to love unconditionally, even if we are not
receiving the contact or support from others we would like. This is why it
is important to start with love of self; others lack of love, words or
actions do not need to reflect ours.
With our ill friend, they were showing their grace by not wanting to burden
others with their news. But with this lot, good intentions are at their core
so it is not surprising others reacted with the same. Even if are ill loved
ones are seeking privacy, a handwritten note, a warm meal or thoughtful gift
can go a long way in telling others you are in are thoughts. Even distance
support, is support.
