We all want to make our life as fulfilling, meaningful, and filled with joy as possible, but when we have to deal with ongoing stress, we could end up making our whole life miserable. Rather than allowing your stress take over your life, try to manage it by identifying the main cause of your stress and stop yourself from absorbing other people's stress.

Taking the time to process your life can help you to live a less stressful life. I think that sometimes we forget to respect ourselves. Stressing over a situation never fixed anything, and there are some things that we can't fix no matter how badly we might want to.
When something doesn't work out the way we'd hoped, we tend to absorb all the negativity and feel bad about ourselves and anxious. In order to live a better life, it’s really important to deal with stress positively. Focus on your wellbeing and what's best for you, and learn to react to negative situations with compassion for yourself rather than irritation or aggression.

Sometimes what we need isn't a distraction, it's a moment to ourselves. That’s why I feel that meditation is so important to balance our emotions. It’s simple to introduce meditation in your daily routine, just find a quiet place and focus on relaxing your body as you concentrate on your breath. Visualise relaxing things, such as a calm beach, a deserted island or a country road. Just 5 minutes of meditation a day can make you feel more focused and balanced. Exercise can also help you to reduce stress, as well as changing your diet. Choosing healthy snacks, increasing your water intake, and decreasing caffeine and alcohol can make a big difference in your energy levels. Never underestimate the importance of your own energy levels when you focus on building up your resilience against stressful people and situations.

Remember that if you spend too much time every day focusing on pleasing others or getting all your tasks done, you may end up not having time for personal fulfilment. You should always be mindful and prioritise the important things in your life. Even when you feel that you’re powerless to change the source of your stress, you need to keep in mind that you have the power to choose how you’ll respond to it. Organise your thoughts and feelings in order to be able to appreciate all of the little moments of joy in your everyday life.

Don't expect your stress to immediately disappear. Relax and give yourself time to do what you want and focus on things that gives you a sense of purpose. Managing your stress helps you feel more in control of your own life and experience less anxiety and anger. Looking at the world in a more optimistic light it’s the best way to be receptive to all of the positive energy in it.
