Finding your way forward when life throws you a curve ball.
When life throws you a curve ball how do you find your way forward? It may be your relationship that you thought was going great only to discover the other person was thinking of leaving. Or you go in to a job you love and find that you’re being made redundant. Perhaps you don’t get the promotion you’d set your heart on or you injure yourself and suddenly find that you can’t do what you used to or what you’d like. What can tend to happen is that our mind then goes into over-drive and is constantly chattering and interpreting what it thinks it all means and what’s going to happen now. And usually it isn’t positive! And our mind is so busy that we end up feeling agitated, unsettled, scared, anxious and with no clarity or idea about how to proceed. One very helpful tip is to come back into your body and come back into your heart. When you put your focus on one part of your body, such as your feet, or simply notice your breathing, it brings you into the here and now and settles you and helps a feeling of peace flow through your body. From this place of greater calm you’re more connected to your true essence which allows your inner guidance and assistance to flow and be heard. And so you’re better able to find your way forward with a sense of knowing what is most right for you.
