Meditation and Intuition
As a child, we freely accessed our intuition. As we grow up, we began to doubt your intuitive voice and shut down this channel of information. The good news is that with a little patience and practice we can strengthen our intuition to create a valuable guidance system. Each day, we need to clear our minds. Let all the distracting thoughts flow out of the mind. Let them go. Picture thoughts floating away on a cloud. Focus on the breathing and allow your mind and body to relax more with each breath. If you haven’t meditated in a while, try this simple 5 minute meditation where all you do is sit and become aware of your breath. You can use imagery to help you access intuitive answers to your questions. Imagine yourself in a quiet place in nature, surrounded by beauty and wonder. The more you practice, the easier it gets.
To live by your Soul means to listen to your Intuition. Your intuition is the voice of your own inner teacher that guides you from darkness into Light. The ego’s voice is judgmental to the point of being abusive, telling you things about yourself to make you believe that you are a bad person and not to be trusted. This will make you treat yourself in disrespectful and unloving ways. Intuition is neutral in energy, and these messages makes you treat yourself in loving and respectful ways.
Intuition is connected to higher knowledge that comes to the spirit without logic or reason, which is why it is sometimes referred to as a “gut feeling.” Meditation can clear your mind of its clutter, it is nothing more than focused thought or focused non-thought. It’s the practice of directing your awareness.
Before making a decision, try to meditate. Our mind becomes stiller, quieter, and our intuition appears to be louder and clearer because we have removed the excess noise that was interfering with our ability to perceive our intuition, our soul guidance, that appears naturally during those instants when our mind is calm. Your Intuition is that second sense, that unique way of knowing something before you’ve been told. Paying attention to those feelings, and acting on them, is not foolish, it's actually an extremely effective way to harness your inner wisdom and lead yourself toward what you want in life.
