Self Care

Self care equals wellbeing, and if you want to attract good things to your life, you must know that you are worthy of respect and love. Get real with yourself and the life you want to live. Let go of other’s expectations for your life, and release the painful memories. Listen to your soul in order to explore what it is telling you to do. Self care is a journey that gives us great contentment. We need to care for ourselves in order to find the better way to process all our feelings to counter-act the negativity we are exposed to, day after day.
How you can practice self care:
Avoid stress by finding ways to relax, like meditation, yoga, getting a massage, taking a bath or walking outdoors;
Live Healthy, eat healthy foods, get enough sleep, exercise regularly, and avoid drugs and alcohol;
Practice good hygiene. Good hygiene is important for social, medical, and psychological reasons in that it not only reduces the risk of illness, but it also improves the way others view you and how you view yourself;
Surround yourself with positive people;
Pay attention to your sleeping routine;
Try to do something you enjoy every day, that might mean dancing, watching a favorite TV show, working in the garden, painting or reading;
Remember that when we keep trying to still be that person from the past, we ignore the fact that we are constantly growing with time. Learn upon what is important to you now. Mindfulness is important to self care because it is a therapeutic technique, that involves being more aware of the present moment. Be aware of what is happening outside, in the world around you, and inside, in your feelings and thoughts. Practising mindfulness can help you become more aware of your own moods and reactions. If you truly want to be live a peaceful and good life, leave the past behind, and focus on what you are now. You are not defined by a moment, or period of time in your life, so stop revisiting your past.
Incorporating joy, spirit, and relaxation in your life. Try to journal about your experiences. Keeping a journal is a great way to learn about yourself, and discover how you really feel, in order to manage your stress in a healthy way. Allow some space for you to grow, to improve yourself, and to become wiser. Make time to discover your values, so you can live your life according to them. You will be a lot happier if you reflect, contemplate and think through the greater meaning of your life. Connecting to yourself will help you to find the purpose and inspiration to accomplish what is important to you. You are in control of your thoughts and actions. When you know your strengths, it’s easier not to let obstacles stop you. Focus on addressing any underlying problems that are stoping you to live a more conscious life, in order to find the path toward balance and healthy emotions. Self-care through lifestyle changes and maintenance is something that really applies to everyone. We can all benefit from making small changes to everyday decisions and lifestyle choices to improve our immediate and future health.
Self-care means that you take control and responsibility for your health, wellbeing and lifestyle. Your life can change for the better when you make time for yourself. It is about being empowered: when you adopt this lifestyle, you will be improving your health and wellbeing forever.
