Stress

If you are always stressed, complaining and rushing through your tasks, you are attracting negativity to your life. If you only dedicate your time to solve your problems and put no energy into your spirituality, you will probably end up spiritually and even physically unhealthy. You can start to expand your perspective beyond the walls that were built by your ego and live a more peaceful life. When you only see negative things, you tend to perpetuate pain and to interact with people based on that perception. Always remember that your spirit is your essence.
Your ability to be resilient under stress requires you to be emotionally balanced. One of the most important ways to get rid of stress is by practicing good self-care. Making conscious choices to care for your mind, body and relationships can help you manage the big stressors in your life. Even if the stress temporarily affects you, you are more able to get up and keep going. You can start protecting yourself against stress with getting an adequate amount of sleep, eating nutritious food, making time for recreation and investing energy into people and activities that are in line with your values. The better you care for yourself, the more equipped you are to manage stress.
One thing we should understand about stress is that sometimes our worries are based not just on what’s happening in our lives but the messages we tell ourselves about our circumstances. When you are under stress, those nagging thoughts telling you, “You’re never going to finish†or “This is all gonna blow up in your face†that really drain your energy. The greatest weapon against stress is your ability to choose one thought over another. Rather than just seeing the negative consequences of feeling stressed, mindfulness offers you the space to think differently about the stress itself. Mindfulness not only reduces stress but also gently builds an inner strength so that future stressors have less impact on your happiness.
You don’t have to live with with all the unhelpful thoughts and feelings that your mind tend to tell you in reaction to stressful experiences. Create an action plan where you establish a routine and set your priorities and goals for the day, may help you feel empowered to get ahead in your activities. Make one change at a time and start small. If you want to start running or decluttering, start with doing just a few minutes of that activity a day or week. Then gradually increase the amount of time you spend on that activity to make it easier to adopt the new habit. Too much stress can lead to depression, so look for advice from people who have been where you are. Learn from people who have been in the situation you are in and had the challenge you are having. Remember that there will always be people who you don’t get along with or that do not like you for some reason, and stop trying to please everyone. Stop trying to do things perfectly: the important thing is to get things done. Do the best you can, then move on to the next thing.
Don’t let stress take away your inner peace. Allow yourself to recharge every now and again embracing solitude and making sure to let others know that is important for you to prioritise yourself. Enjoying your own company can help you to achieve a higher level of awareness and inner calm. Remember that solitude is a time for reflection, for thinking about things more deeply. Use your time alone to access a sense of tranquility and peace no matter what's going on around you. Enjoying your own company from time to time, is a good and healthy way to avoid negative feelings to overwhelm you. Always respect your limits, and withdraw yourself from a situation if you feel it’s too much for you to take. When you know how much you can stand, you are able to be in control and protect yourself from bad feelings.
By getting in touch with your own spirituality you can get the necessary self knowledge to set meaningful boundaries with others who contributes to your stress. Keep in mind that your soul is packed with an endless personal source of power and positive energy. Choose to be optimistic because negativity can stop you from accomplishing your tasks. In order to invite peace and harmony into your life, allow yourself to be guided by gratitude, every single day. Every day, take a few moments to appreciate the good things you have going on in your life. Creating a feeling of gratitude will make you understand that you are blessed and capable to accomplish your goals. A grateful life is a happier life. Your mind is powerful, if you use it the right way, you will be able to focus on your strengths and let go of stress.
