The year of 2023 is almost over and now it’s time to focus on eliminating negative energy as you move into the new year. We need to to let go of those negative feelings we have building up inside of us. The first step to declutter ourselves from negative emotions is to breathe and let go of things that we don’t use anymore. This will make us feel mentally and physically better. It is important to eliminate clutter in our environment if we want to renew the energy that surrounds us. Make a goal of getting rid of everything that no longer serves you in life, so you can get rid of the negative energy that are impregnated in those things. Then, try to declutter your mind, and you’ll have more space to fill your thoughts with things that are important to you. Every morning, take full inhales through the nose and exhale through your mouth fully; as you inhale, think about positive things that makes you happy and as you exhale, let go of stress and negative thoughts. Continue to deeply breathe in and out, expanding your belly and chest while you get rid of negativity. Remember that nobody else but you can change your thoughts and your behaviour. Make a commitment to pay more attention to the positive aspects in your life, and focus on those things, rather than focusing on the negative aspects that are out of your control. Starting the new year with a positive attitude could start with simply making time each day to appreciate life, doing something you are passionate about, or that brings you pleasure. Focus on forgiving, by forgiving, you are freeing yourself of the negative energy that has been attached to a past memory and or someone in your life. Learn how to forgive in the new year. Live your life one day at a time, and think about the bad habits that you have, and how you can change those habits, in order to adopt better ones and become a happier person in 2024. If you are open to positive changes, you will understand that happiness is about relationships, experiences and moments. Let go of guilt. Remember that to free yourself from guilt is to send yourself on a direct path towards happiness. If you want to find balance in life, you need to have your priorities in place, be aware of your limits, acknowledge them, and then look for ways to take a positive turn. Nurture your spirit in the new year. Focus on discovering a greater meaning in life, and reach inner peace by practicing gratitude and self acceptance. There are many things you can do in order to live a more spiritual, meaningful, life. Keep in mind that before your levels of contentment can improve, your choices and actions must improve. Happiness is not about expressing gratitude only when you feel it, but giving thanks especially when you don’t feel like doing it. If you remember this, you will find a powerful tool to improve your well-being and start the new year on a positive note. Make a gratitude journal in 2024. This is something that can help you heal and achieve spiritual balance in the new year. All you need is a notebook, a paper pad, or any kind of paper to write down several things you are grateful for. Since I started my gratitude journal, I’ve learned that my level of happiness is directly linked to how grateful I am. It's one thing to reflect upon gratitude, but writing it down is a very moving experience. When we write it down what makes our lives meaningful, we see that gratitude isn't about stuff, we realise that gratitude is an emotional experience. Things to include in your gratitude journal: -Think about the life lessons you’ve learned in 2024 from your struggles; -Write about positive things that happened during your year in 2024; -Make a list of everything you will still care about in 5 years; -Write about your family memories in your past Year; -Write about all the good relationships you have in life and get rid of the toxic ones to make room for more positive people to enter your life; Learn to love yourself, practice acceptance and take care of your body and mind. Start to pay more attention to your blessings and remember that when you make peace with who you are, you can start 2024 prepared to reach new horizons.
